I’ve been busy creating some free printable recipe cards and pages to share.

How often do you sit down to meal plan only to find your mind has gone completely blank? I have made so many meals that my family have enjoyed yet when it comes to creating my weekly menu I struggle to think what to cook. And so we end up eating the same dishes week after week.
I love looking through my cookbooks and magazines, finding delicious meals for us all. Then I make them, and they go down well, and then I forget what I’ve made or where I found the recipe and they never get done again.
That’s why I decided to create my own free printable recipe cards so I can build up a collection of all our favourite recipes in one place. My go-to resource when I’m planning our weekly menu.
You might like to use them with my free Weekly Meal Planner printable.
I made these recipe printables in 2 useful sizes. Full page size and 6″x4″. They come in PDF format in either A4 or 8.5×11 inch.
The download links are at the bottom of this post
6×4 printable recipe cards

These printable recipe cards are 6″x4″ and come in 3 different simple designs with 2 cards per page. They would be best printed on white cardstock to give them a bit of weight.
Print out as many as you need and store them in a recipe box or tin. There are some beautiful recipe boxes on Amazon or Etsy. If you have a laminator you could laminate them to help keep them clean.
I think a collection of well-loved recipes is a great gift to hand down to children when they leave home or go off to university.
My printable recipe cards have a space for the recipe title along with number of servings and prep and cook time. There is plenty of space to list ingredients and cooking instructions. I’ve also included a little 5 star review area so you can quickly locate which recipes are your absolute winners.
Printable full size recipe pages

You can print these recipe pages in A4 or 8.5×11 inch. Then you can stick them straight in a ring binder or use page protectors to keep them extra safe.
I like the idea of using a pocket presentation display book for my recipes. I’m also going to keep a couple of the plastic sleeves at the back for recipes I’ve torn from magazines that I want to try. If they are successful I’ll write them up onto my printable recipe pages as meals to cook again.
These printable recipe pages have space for the recipe name at the top and a category section to help keep your recipes organised. You can note down number of servings as well as prep and cook time and there is plenty of space to write down your ingredients and directions.
I’ve also included a review area, space for extra notes, and any special tools or utensils you need to remember. There is also a place to make a note of where you sourced the original recipe.
Free printable recipe card and page downloads
I’ve deliberately made these printables in a clean and simple black and white format so they are easy and affordable to print out.
The files are 4 page PDFs. They include:
- 1 full size recipe page
- 3 pages with 2 of each card design
Just print out the pages you need.

Hi Jen
I just wanted to say thank you for the beautiful recipe cards that are so easy to download. I’m gifting some recipes to a friend for her bridal shower and was excited to find your great blog as well. Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
Thank you for your kind comments Justine. I’m glad you like the recipe cards. I’m hoping to be adding more posts and downloads to my blog over the coming days/weeks. Take care, Jen x
is there a way to download this to where I can type in the document instead of print and write by hand?
I’m afraid I don’t at the moment but it is something I am going to be looking into in the future 🙂
I would like to make a recipe cookbook for my Freshman Class 2024 Fundraiser.
Thank you so much for this. I came across your website and its such a breath fresh air. Thank you God bless you
Hi Jen, You’re a lifesaver. Thank you for making these cards. I’ve been searching for a template so I can create a monthly food plan to simplify life! These are wonderful. I’m glad I found you.
Thanks for the lovely feedback Emma. I’m glad you like my recipe cards. Good luck with your monthly food plan. What a great idea 🙂
Thank you!
Thank you very much for sharing these recipe cards. Our Widow’s Ministry is in the beginning stage in a creating a COOKBOOK. So happy we found your website!
Your recipe design is perfect.
Is it possible to type directly on the document?
It would be nice to have the recipes on the computer
and then print out for a binder.
Thank you for your giving us a creative recipe page.
Thank you for your kind comment. It isn’t possible to type directly onto these files unfortunately.
Creating editable files is something I’m looking into learning though as I’ve had a few requests 🙂
What do you recommend when it comes to separating the recipes alphabetically? Do you have cards with tabs labeled A, B, C, etc?
I don’t currently have cards with tabs although that is a great idea! You could try folding smallish different coloured stickers at different stages over the top of the cards, perhaps representing A-C, D-F etc. Then you would be able to jump to the right section quickly and also put the cards back in the right place 🙂
